"Don't ask yourself what the world needs; ask yourself what makes you come alive, and go do that! Because what the world needs are people who have come alive."
(Howard Thurman)
I started painting in 2000 and did mainly portraits at the time; pencil and chalk drawings only.
In 2004 I got my first easel from my parents and fell in love with the rich colours of argyle, as well as oil colours.
Ever since, I have experimented with different techniques, from using materials such as plastic bags, and even chopsticks, which all contribute to making the paintings unique, expressive, colourful, and full of contrast.
My inspiration comes from life - the stories I listen to, the pictures I see during my travels, or just sitting in a café in my home town. No painting turns out to be what I imagined it will be at the beginning.
The pieces are very dynamic, not only what you see on the canvas, but also the process of painting itself.
